Phone, in person and video interpretation - pros and cons of each, timing, speed and clarity with complex issues. Setting up for appointments - via phone or in person. Interpretation by family members or lay people- issues and concerns. Interpretation documentation. Use of resources - handouts, videos. Use of websites and closed captioning. Importance of prenatal care and understanding surround care providers (pediatricians, family doctors, hospital, etc.). Length of presentation 1 hour. Recording will be available with 5 business days. This session has been submitted for Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) to IBLCE.
