Who is speaking at the conference?

Our keynote speaker, James Akre, will be joined by experts from across Canada on a wide-range of topics of interest to lactation consultants, physicians and nurses as well as other breastfeeding support workers and volunteers. The full conference programme is available here.

Can I come to only one day?

While we would encourage you to take advantage of the full programme, single day passes are available for Friday and Saturday.

What is the dress code like?

The CLCA/ACCL Conference is a professional conference, but consider yourself among friends. Dress comfortably for long days of learning and networking – bring layers to ensure comfort as you move about.

The early autumn in Niagara Falls is generally mild during the day (10C-20C), with cooler nights (5C-10C). Consider bringing a raincoat as some sightseeing activities near the falls can include spray and mist.

Will you be able to accommodate special diets?

Conference meals will include vegan and gluten-free options at each meal/break. If you have additional specific needs, please email us at clca.accl@gmail.com .

Are CERPS available?

The CLCA/ACCL has applied for CERPS. The final number and type (L-,E-,R-) will be determined by IBCLE and communicated as soon as they are received.

Are you providing other continuing education credits?

For this conference, we will have applied for CERPS from IBCLE only. CERPS may used by several other certifying/accrediting bodies, including DONA, CAPPA and the Association of Ontario Midwives.
